The new Pentax 645D camera will be distributed worldwide
Well, this was widely speculated some months ago, but according to recent news published by DSLR Magazine, the Pentax 645D medium format camera will be distributed worldwide. It seems it will be available in Spain in August 2010, although the prices are not yet defined.

And Australia too (the local Pentax agents have confirmed this with me). Pricing unconfirmed, but comparable to the Japanese price by the sounds.

ReplyDeleteAll signs suggest that the impact of the 645D has been higher than expected by Pentax, hence the quick change of plans, from Japanese-only release, to a summer release worldwide.
Good news for Pentax users and for photographers interested in affordable medium format. :)
I got a copy of the PMAI magazine yesterday and it says the the Pentax stall be be showing off the 645D... so i assume it will be sold here
