The dance of Andalusian horses

Today, given it was a very cold day, we decided to go to see the spectacle of the dance of Andalusian horses, something you can see every Sunday in Córdoba, at the Caballerizas reales.

I had seen similar spectacles before, but nevertheless, I was speechless while watching it, today, again. I shot almost 600 pictures as it is a show of pure beauty, where old Spanish traditions are shown in an exquisite manner. Here you have some samples, taken with my Pentax K10D and the standard 18-55 lenses:

If you would like to see a video of this show (not from today, and not recorded by me), here you have it:

Further information about the origin and the history of the Andalusian horses here. And more specifically, here you can learn how the origin of this race of horses comes from the decision of Spanish king Felipe II to create a new breed of horses of the highest quality, and it was done here in Córdoba, centuries ago.
