"Excuse me but is this really goodbye?"

As in many other occasions, a sentence lifted from a Prince song is going to help me to write this post. This one belongs to the lyrics of "Goodbye", published in the outtakes set "Crystal Ball", back in 1998 if memory serves me right.

The few people who comes here from time to time has probably noticed that I am posting less often than I used to. The reasons for that are diverse, from being more busy with my job and family, to having other internet resources which are taking more time than writing in this humble blog.

Besides, I am thinking on whether I want to continue writing here in the way I have done from scratch: posting all kinds of stuff that interest me; sometimes just reposting stuff I found elsewhere (and this might be more appropriate to post in tweeter), sometimes writing personal posts on different topics. For the latter, I am considering a different platform, one that is not owned by a corporate giant (as Google in the case of blogspot), and one where the mere fact of posting articles does not allow its owners to use my article later on (as is the case with Medium, which otherwise has fine formatting capabilities).

If you put in the addition the fact that I will be off for holidays in August this year, then you have the whole thing: I am going to close this chapter for now. Then I will think quietly on what to do next, and hopefully, if I get to conclusions, in September yours truly will have clear ideas as to what to post, where to post, and possibly more relevant, whether posting some kinds of content (especially stuff that is widely reported elsewhere) is worth to do or not.
