The end of "Les Guignols de l'info"

I mentioned recently Les Guignols de l'Info, with occasion of the death of Alain de Greef. And sadly, I discovered today that the main actionnist of Canal + (Vivendi) has seemingly taken the decision to end this show.

This is truly bad news to me. Their sense of humour remains at the very top of tv shows I have ever seen, and the level of sharpness they reached when dealing with politicians in France has never been surpassed in any other tv show.

There are many truly legendary episodes from Les Guignols, but I remember one in particular with my biggest smile, where Bernardette Chirac was shown while supposedly masturbating with a handbag... they knew no limits and no politician, no matter how important, was out of their reach.

Let's remember their golden period, when Chirac was at the top in France:
